DORM ROOMS AND DEMOS
Blaqrock started in the dorms at Columbia College Chicago is 2015. Gardner wanted to make rap music, and Myles wanted to make rock. The rest was history.
Gardner and Myles would spend their college years in making demos, covering songs, and performing all around Chicago. It was during those years and in those dorm halls that Southside, Shutterspeed, and Kicks would be written. These songs were the sounds of their early 20’s.
As determined as Myles and Gardner were though, this sound needed more.
FROM aUDITIONS TO INTERNATIONAL TOURS
Blaqrock struck gold when they held their one and only audition process in 2018. This is where they met bassist Austen and drummer Danny. All of a sudden, the sound took off from Kicks to I Became My Brother. The sound was realized, and it was time to take it to bigger stages.
From 2019 to 2022, Blaqrock traveled across the country to record and perform. A new album was finished and the band was ready to take the next step: Touring.
In 2022, Blaqrock joined the artist roster over at Rola Music. Through this connection, the band planned and embarked on a month long tour across Europe to close out 2022.
